29th August - Moffatt Beats Lomond on Opening Day |
Ross Moffatt made light work of Lomond on the opening day of the season when he notched up all of Clydebank's 14 points in a tight local derby. The match was a nervous but entertaining affair with Lomond controlling the first half as they took advantage of the strong wind at their backs. Lomond went into the break with an 8-12 lead with try count of 2 to 1 in their favour. Moffatt had converted an early penalty to give Clydebank the lead and added a try after good mauling from the Clydebank forwards following a line out win. Clydebank came back into the match in the second half with the forwards working well in scrum and loose. The backs threw up an impenetrable wall which Lomond tried hard to climb but to no avail. |

Clydebank
travelled to Bishopbriggs to play National League 3 side Allan
Glens.
